About Us

Miss Amy Semtak opened Dance Mania at the age of 21. She is the owner, choreographer, and primary teacher. Miss Amy started her dance career at the age of three. She won numerous high score awards for her talent in dance at both regional and national competitions. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Montclair State University. There she studied under many famous choreographers, and also performed in the American College Dance Festival (ACDF).

Miss Amy is not only known for her dancing, but she is well known for her teaching and choreography skills. Miss Amy has been teaching since the age of 16. Her students have recently performed at Lincoln Center in New York City and have been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the 2010 and 2012 Olympics in Vancouver and London. Some of her students have also been chosen for the United States Dance Team, the StarPower Power Pak dancers, the Extreme Team, as well as some Broadway shows. Miss Amy has always believed that any child can learn to dance and no dream is too high to reach.

Miss Amy has always been told by her college professor's that her choreography is brilliant. She has proven that at every competition she has attended by winning numerous creativity, concept, and other choreography awards. Not to mention "Top Teacher and Choreographer" in NJ, four years running.

The one thing that Dance Mania strives for is making dance both educational and fun. We believe that anyone can develop the skills to dance as long as they have the right teacher.
